FAQ
Answers to common questions about D2 Survivors: Diablo II files, mobile support, saving, controls and whether this wiki is official.
What is D2 Survivors?
D2 Survivors is a fan-made, browser-based survivors-like inspired by Diablo II: you move your hero, fight off waves of monsters, and collect loot and gold between runs.
Is this The Division 2: Survivors from Ubisoft?
No. D2 Survivors here refers to the Diablo II–inspired survivors-like game. It has nothing to do with Ubisoft’s The Division 2.
Do I need Diablo II to play D2 Survivors?
Yes. You need your own copy of classic Diablo II with Lord of Destruction (patch 1.14) or Diablo II: Resurrected. The game reads art and sound from your install on your computer and does not upload the files.
Is D2 Survivors free to play?
Yes, the browser game is free. This site does not charge for anything.
Can I play D2 Survivors on mobile?
No. The game needs a keyboard and your own Diablo II install, which phones do not have. Open this page on a computer.
What are the controls?
Move with WASD, open the inventory with I and pause or open the menu with Esc. Click inside the game first so it receives keyboard input.
Does the game save my progress?
Progress is stored in your browser for the same site, so use the same browser and do not clear site data or use private mode.
Who made D2 Survivors? Is this the official site?
The game is made by an independent developer, framara, and hosted at d2survivors.lol. This wiki is an unofficial fan site that embeds the game and writes guides.
The game will not load or the keyboard does nothing. What now?
Click inside the game window, disable blocking extensions for a moment, and try a desktop Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
